Along with Friends of the Clearwater and the UI Ecology and Conservation Biology Club, we will bring in experts to discuss “Lower Snake River Dam Breaching: Embracing the Inevitable, Saving Money, Saving Salmon.” Meet us March 23, 4pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Palouse on 2nd Street in Moscow.

Building a Resilient Palouse Kickoff: “The Science of Climate Change, Future Projections, and the Global Response”

Tom Bitterwolf, PhD. will give an inspirational lecture about the science of climate change, future projections, and the global response. Meet us at the 1912 Center, April 24, 7pm – 9pm.

“Building a Resilient Palouse in the Age of Climate Change”

Experts in various fields will lead breakout discussion groups that examine local issues in the light of a warming world. We will also be showing “The World Set Free,” the climate change episode of the hit TV serial Cosmos, narrated by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Join us at the 1912 Center April 25, 9:30am – 3:30pm. Lunch provided.

This public meeting will gather interested individuals to explore sustainable energy options in our area. Join us and our friends at the local Idaho chapter of the Sierra Club at the 1912 Center May 6th, 7pm.

Idler’s Rest Trail Cleanup

This third annual family event celebrates National Trail Day. Meet up with us and the Palouse Land Trust June 13, 9am – 11:30am at Idler’s Rest. Lunch will be provided.
