Graham Stevens, from Navigant’s Energy Practice (and a Moscow resident), will discuss methods of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the United States, and evaluating the costs vs. efficacy of these options. Graham’s presentation is at 7 pm in room 103 of the Menard Law Building on the University of Idaho campus, with free parking nearby. The event is sponsored by the UI Environmental Law Society and the Palouse Environmental Sustainability Coalition.
Panel discussion to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act, 4 pm Thursday at the University of Idaho,College of Law – room 103, 703 S Rayburn Drive, Moscow. Can geothermal energy aid in mitigating climate change? University of Idaho PhD candidate Cary Lindsey will give a talk on the “Future of Geothermal Energy” Tuesday, January 20, in the 1912 Center Fiske Room at 7:30 p.m. She will discuss her research from Yellowstone Park and other “hot spots” as well as local geothermal projects.
